As I recently reported, I hoped to start writing here more often. In fact, I had a story ready to post last Friday, but after the events involving the sniper attack on Dallas Police on Thursday, I decided to postpone it. Of course then came the attack in Nice, France. the attempted coup in Turkey, and …

Super Bowl Security?
Today’s the day; The New England Patriots take on the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46. In an event that has become an annual spectacle for many years, all eyes will be on which team takes home the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy right? Or maybe it is to see what other celebrities will be there …

TSA picks the wrong person to harrass…
If I were a TSA agent, I would become very familiar with certain travelers coming through the checkpoint. Obviously, this morning, they were not quite awake at the airport in Nashville, and the wrong person was “randomly” selected for a pat down screening. That person was Rand Paul, the Republican Senator from Kentucky. As he passed through one of …

Did someone at the TSA finally wake up?
As readers of this blog know, I have not been a fan of the TSA’s ever-expanding use of questionable technology and procedures to try to screen out threats to the United States’ Air Transportation System. As we know, the enhanced scanners and invasive pat-downs have resulted in more complaints than catching people wishing to do …

TSA: It’s not just bad screeners…
As many will note, I often have something to say about the state of our Transportation Security. I also know that the Department of Homeland Insecurity has visited this site a few times over the last few months, so I do have the powers that be in Washington’s attention. It also goes to say that …

Another week, another TSA stupidity
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, the TSA’s heavy-handed tactics prove that they show no end to their insanity. This time, it happened at an airport I travel to on a frequent basis, Kansas City International Airport (or as the locals call it, KCI – yet the airlines call it MCI – …

Texas to reign in the TSA???
Earlier this week, 2003 Miss USA winner Susie Castillo reported an incident involving TSA agents at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. She was “randomly” selected by screeners to go through one of the new body scanners, to which she promptly declined for alternate screening methods. Anyway, after “opting out,” I proceeded to follow a very nice older …

TSA Does it again!
Less than a week after I first opined (and the TSA and family weighed in) on the TSA’s use of enhanced pat-down on a 6-year-old girl, new video has surfaced from Portland, Oregon, showing a similar incident with an 8-year-old boy. Seattle’s KING-5 has the story (from YouTube, story not on KING-5 Website):
