I’ve spent the last several months working on an improved look for this site. The old version was very dated and rather basic. While it served a purpose the last couple of years, I knew it was time for a change.
Gone will be the “off-white” background the site has supported for most of its existence, and replacing it is an eye-friendly mix of grays and blues. The “sunshine” logo that has graced these pages faces retirement, and a new logo (and tagline) will be on the site with the launch. The new logo is still being worked on, and is the last step towards the new site rollout.
Meanwhile, I have begun rolling out key changes that are part of the overall effort, and you will start to find them on the various pages throughout.
At the same time, I have now linked the blog to dedicated Twitter and Facebook pages. If you wish to “Follow” or “Like” us there, you’ll always know when there is new content, in addition to our always available RSS feed.
There will also be a new commenting system coming online in the next few days. By moving to a standard commenting system, the hope is this will encourage more people to give feedback on the stories posted here.
Also, many old posts will have “tags” added and “categories” updated to better give relevant links and searches.
Stay tuned for more updates.
