A ‘Broken’ America…

As I recently reported, I hoped to start writing here more often. In fact, I had a story ready to post last Friday, but after the events involving the sniper attack on Dallas Police on Thursday, I decided to postpone it. Of course then came the attack in Nice, France. the attempted coup in Turkey, and …

Article V Proposal: Investigations

Today I’m outlining the first of two proposals I have for the Convention of States to Amend the Constitution. Originally, I intended this was supposed to be presented as the second, but in light of the announcement today by the FBI of a recommendation of no charges for the clear violation of the law by Hillary Clinton, …

Make Mine Freedom

In the late 1940’s, the United States was watching the developing threat of the Soviet Union, Communism, and ultimately, the Cold War. It was no surprise, then, that the movie theaters of the day would run Pro-America/Pro-Capitalism “Propaganda” to remind citizens that our way of life is under attack. Harding College stepped forward with one …

Obama Admin flushes Keystone XL Pipeline

Oil and gas pipeline

Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket… – Barack Obama, January 2008 The Obama administration today insured us that oil prices will also continue to skyrocket, by blocking the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Texas. Of course, they promise the cuts, and establishes yet another commission to produce a report (which they have to approve their recommended cuts) before a long-term debt limit increase will go into effect.

TSA smackdown of the Texas State Senate

Transportation Security Officers

As the state legislative session began winding down last week, I started following certain bills of interest, including HB 1937, which, as I discussed before, would prohibit the TSA from touching “private parts” during screening. Much to my surprise, the bill, which passed  unanimously out of the House, was withdrawn before being brought to the vote Tuesday.  With …

59 Days to Election Day: An Electoral Katrina Coming?

I admit, I’ve not been a big follower of politics until recently.  Since the 2008 election, my interests in what has been guiding our country the wrong way has only intensified. Admittedly, a employer mandated 5% pay cut in the spring of 2009 didn’t help my spirits any, nor watching close co-workers get sidelined to meet …
